The problem

Safety teams do not need more documents. They need a clearer view of the ones they already have.

  • SHMS and procedure libraries grow faster than people can review them.
  • Related risks, training, contractors and actions live in different places.
  • Reviews become collation exercises instead of gap-finding.
  • Previous automated culls have left sites unsure what controls remain.
How RSURED uses AI

Review the record. Keep the judgement.

  1. Step 1

    Choose the record

Select a record or document in any enabled module.

  2. Step 2

    Send only what is needed

RSURED sends only the structured content required for that review task.

  3. Step 3

    Receive a draft review

AI returns gaps, inconsistencies, missing references and suggested questions.

  4. Step 4

    Keep the judgement

A competent person accepts, edits or rejects the output.

  5. Step 5

    Keep the audit trail

The approved record stays in RSURED with the normal audit trail.

Where it helps first

AI document review across your safety management system

AI-assisted review is applied module by module, so each capability is scoped, tested and enabled deliberately rather than switched on across the platform.

SHMS and document review

Review a procedure against related risks, obligations and other controlled documents.

HSEQ Documents & SHMS

Risk and critical control review

Ask whether a control looks like an actual control or a supporting activity, and what evidence is missing.

Risk & Hazard Management

Incident summaries

Draft a structured summary from the incident record so investigators start closer to the point.

Incidents & Injuries

Audit and obligation support

Highlight clauses, evidence gaps and overdue reviews before an audit, not during it.

Audits & Assessments

Training and competency content

Review course or induction content for consistency with current procedures.

Training & Competency

Contractor documentation

Help reviewers see missing, expired or inconsistent contractor evidence faster.

Contractor Management
Guardrails

Built to assist. Not to take accountability.

Human-in-the-loop safety AI means the platform helps reviewers see more, faster — while responsibility for the decision stays with your people.

Customer opt-in

AI-assisted review is off by default and enabled by the customer.

No open-ended chat

There is no general chat interface roaming across the platform.

AI is not the system of record

RSURED remains the record. AI output is a draft until accepted.

A person reviews the output

A competent person accepts, edits or rejects before operational use.

Workflows continue without AI

Core workflows keep running if AI is disabled or unavailable.

Only required fields are sent

Only the content needed for the review task leaves the platform.

No foundation model training

Customer data is not used to train foundation models.

Data and security

Scoped data, reviewed providers, existing controls

  • Review happens on records already stored in RSURED.
  • Data sent to the AI provider is limited to the review task.
  • Provider terms, retention and training rules are reviewed before enablement.
  • Hosting and access control remain the RSURED and viisConnect model.
  • Customers can leave AI-assisted review switched off.

For access control, audit trails, hosting and platform assurance detail, see security and compliance in RSURED.

FAQ

Common questions about AI in RSURED

Does AI replace a competent person?+

No. AI-assisted review produces a draft only. A competent person reviews, edits, accepts or rejects the output before it is used operationally, and accountability for the decision stays with your organisation.

Is AI on by default?+

No. AI-assisted review is optional and off by default. It is enabled by the customer, per environment, and can be limited to selected modules and users.

What data is sent to the AI service?+

Only the structured content needed for the specific review task — for example the document, risk or incident record selected — is sent. There is no open-ended access across your data in RSURED.

Is customer data used to train models?+

No. Customer data is not used to train foundation models. Provider terms, retention settings and training rules are reviewed before a capability is enabled.

Can we use RSURED if we turn AI off?+

Yes. Core workflows across documents, risk, incidents, training, contractors and audits operate normally with AI switched off or unavailable.

Which modules can be reviewed?+

AI-assisted review is applied module by module, starting with HSEQ Documents and SHMS, Risk and Hazard Management, Incidents and Injuries, Audits and Assessments, Training and Competency, and Contractor Management. Availability depends on your configuration.

How is this different from ChatGPT?+

This is not a chatbot bolted onto the platform. Review is scoped to a record already held in RSURED, returns a structured draft for a defined task, and the approved outcome stays in RSURED with the normal audit trail. RSURED integrates with approved AI providers, including OpenAI APIs, under customer-controlled settings.

Does RSURED guarantee compliance if we use AI?+

No. RSURED supports compliance workflows, visibility and audit readiness. It does not guarantee compliance, eliminate risk or replace statutory duties and professional judgement.
